Winter Storm Ukko
Winter Storm Ukko is a really windy winter storm. In Wisconsin we got about 3 - 4 inches of snow. Freezing rain and more! This storm was developed over the Pacific Ocean. In my words I would have to say at some points it was a fast moving storm but at some other points it would slow down, due to the jet stream.
Up in the North we got up to 8 inches in some places of snow, and it is still hitting New York and the whole Mid West as I type this. Some places right now are getting 7 inches and it is being a really slow moving storm. The South had a way worse experience, they didn't get anything close to snow except marble to base ball size hail. They also got wind gushes up to 75 MPH!!! Isn't that crazy? They also got quite a bit of tornadoes, at least that is what was recorded, but it could have just been the wind gushes.
Currently we are tracking another storm system that is coming in from the North and it will be staying into the jet stream. We will be keeping this cold winds and weather up to the North because of the jet stream, which is bad news because Spring is right around the corner and we will be experiencing below average temperatures. I do not believe any one is happy for the next storm, now it is not named yet, but if it intensifies then it will be getting named, I will stay in contact with that as well.
Right now in Wisconsin there are major winds and drifts of snow, so if your driving please be careful.
I will be staying in contact with you guys through out tomorrow and Thursday on this new storm system moving in from the Pacific, but until then, bye!
